Understand horse rescue
The Issue
Horses are majestic animals. They oringinated in North America, crossed into Asia, migrated to Europe and evolved into the horses we know today on their journey. When the explorers brought them back to the New World, they traveled West and developed a breed of wild horses. Today, we slaughter, mame and neglect ths beautiful AMERICAN native animal. Horses helped the nation develop. They carried soldiers in battle, and home from war. They pulled the railroad west. They never stop trusting despite any illwill men bring them. Yet, we as a nation exploit them over and over again.
We do not adopt out our rescued horses. Once an orphan comes home to us, he or she will never again know the hell that brought them to us. They will only know the care and love of the children that look at them like majestic animals. They teach the lessons of love, patience, responsibilty and trust.
It costs $5 for a bale of hay, which will feed one horse for 2 days. It costs $12-16 for a bag of grain. 50 lbs will feed 1 horse for 2 weeks. There are vet bills, farrier bills, bedding, and other intangibles.
Please support our organization and our efforts. Recruit new supporters. If you live locally please come volunteer. Consider making a small donation to the orphans.
