On October 1st, 2024, the North Clackamas School District blocked Spotify on the grounds that students using Spotify are a violation of their Terms of Service because all of the students are under 18 years old. but it also says that if a parent or guardian gives consent, then the previous statement is void. Since the teachers at my school have been giving us verbal consent to use Spotify for years, it makes no sense that they would block it on our school computers. and you might be saying, "Well just use your phone or music player to listen to music", well our district has employed Youndr Pouches so we can't use any electronic device other than our school computers in school. So please, give us back the right to listen to music at school.
