For the past six months, my friends and I have found common ground in the game Rocket Bot Royale. It has been our escape from the pressures of schoolwork, a platform for us to bond, strategize, and build stronger friendships. Recently, however, the Memorial Middle School administration decided to block this game from our school Chromebooks. This decision has not only taken away an important part of our social interaction but also denied us access to a game we genuinely adore.

Rocket Bot Royale is not just another online game; it promotes strategic thinking and teamwork among players. According to research by Michigan State University's Children and Technology Project, video games like Rocket Bot Royale can enhance strategic thinking skills (Gentile et al., 2009). Moreover, these games can foster social interaction among students outside of traditional settings.

We understand that there may be concerns about time spent on gaming during school hours. However, we believe that with proper regulation and time management guidelines in place - as opposed to outright blocking - students can enjoy such games without compromising their academic responsibilities.
