I am a student of Strack Intermediate School, which has blocked Github. After hours of hard work, my access to my coding projects on Github was lost. This is the story of Strack Intermediate School’s Coding Club students.

Github is an essential tool for coders learning to code. It offers a collaborative environment where we can build and share our projects, learn from others, and improve our skills. Yet many schools around the school district blocked it, severely limiting our ability to learn and grow as coders.

According to GitHub's 2020 State of the Octoverse report, more than 56 million developers worldwide use GitHub – including over 1.9 million organizations across all industries (source: GitHub). By blocking access to this platform in schools, we are denying students the opportunity to join this community of learners and innovators.
