As a student in the Beaverton School District, I know how hard it can be to find a good way to listen to music unblocked. Not to mention most music sites are blocked. This makes students unable to express themselves through their type of music in a space that should be inclusive to everyone. 

Multiple studies have shown that music can and does help students focus. Removing a source like Spodify where everyone can listen to their own choice of music free of charge is denying people that choice of their music choice. Yes, YouTube does have music but not nearly enough is available for students. Apple Music is unblocked for students but not everyone can afford the costly fee. This will also end up helping the district and admin because it can reduce the use of proxies that can compromise the security of the district as we saw last school year.

Doing this now can help people not only express themselves musically but give students a better experience with music.
