Unban Schoology Plus

The Issue

Schoology Plus was an extension that added many helpful features to Schoology, which is the main website used by schools to give students online assignments and grades. This extension allowed students to change the color scheme of the website, reorganize their upcoming assignments, and even add theoretical assignments to their grades to see what they would need to do to succeed. Many people used this extension, and it became normal for a majority of students. However, this extension, along with many others, have been banned in many school districts, including to LAUSD. The students of this district are infuriated by this change, as it has made many simple tasks needlessly difficult and forced students into using a now unfamiliar system. LAUSD claims that the reason for the ban was to prevent students from using the "What If Grades" function to trick their parents into thinking their grades are different from what they are. However, the school should be informing parents of students' grades on their own, and even if they didn't, Schoology Plus gives a notice that says the grade is edited, and displays the correct grade beneath. This ban has done far more harm than good, especially with students who struggle to stay organized, and on behalf of all LAUSD students, we need to bring back this wonderful extension.
