Our friend, Patrick Lennon (Wearing Blue Hardaway Jersey), is facing an unjust punishment. He was banned from all after-school activities and sports for the spring term for giving "the bird" to the opposing team after eliminating Attleboro from the basketball playoffs. 
We believe this punishment is too severe for something done in the heat of the moment. Patrick's action, though inappropriate, was reactionary and not premeditated.

Patrick is a dedicated learner and a passionate sportsman. He has been an integral part of our sports teams pride . This punishment prevents him from engaging in his passions and contributing his skills to our school community.
Sports are an important aspect of student development, fostering leadership skills, nurturing physical health and encouraging teamwork.

We request the consideration and reevaluation of Patrick Lennon's ban from spring after-school activities and sports due to a single indiscretion. We must not let one ill-judged reaction overshadow his other accomplishments and contributions.
