Yesterday, a friend asked me to put a picture in profile photo (the photo of Jonathan Galindo). Without knowing what it was, I trusted him. As a result, my account has been deactivated and I cannot recover it, even with the methods we recommend (it gives me errors). I didn't want to hurt anyone, I didn't even know what that picture was about.

I have owned Instagram for 7 years. Hundreds of memories, stories, photos and messages went up in smoke within a second. Obviously, I'm not by far the only one in this situation, just look at the hashtag #instagram on Twitter.

It is INADMISSIBLE that a company that weighs in the billions does not even have a phone number to reach them and speak to someone face to face. Likewise for e-mails, they are UNREACHABLE.

When it comes to selling our data for millions of dollars to advertisers, that's fine. But when we simply ask for a minimum of assistance for a problem that we encounter on their platform, there is no one left.

I ask that all accounts that have been banned by mistake be unbanned.
