Help Stop the Physogyra Lichtensteini from Going Extinct.

The issue

The Physogyra Lichtensteini is a type of Bubble Coral found in the our Great Barrier Reef. These corals have been bleached before but due to increase in bleaching's they can't recover quick enough before another one. They are found in the Indo-pacific ocean and can only live in shallow reefs with a maximum of 3 meters deep. The Coral is home to a diverse range of species. The Pearl Bubble Coral also protect the coast from many waves and tropical storms.

When a bleaching occurs due to rise in water temperatures, nutrient or light the symbolic algae in their tissue causes the Physogyra Lichtensteini to turn white. The Great Barrier Reef Foundation, the Coral IV, they help the coral to reproduce and they release them back into the ocean.
