Such a UN-recognized Compassion Day would:

•    Foster Peace: Encourage Muslims worldwide to mark the day with practical compassion, reducing mistrust and conflict.
•    Promote Social Uplift: Inspire initiatives for health, education, disaster relief, and human dignity.
•    Strengthen Interfaith Goodwill: Show that Islam’s message, embodied by its Prophet, is one of mercy and kindness.
•    Counter Misunderstanding: Replace stereotypes with lived acts of compassion visible to the global community.

Why the United Nations?

The UN General Assembly has successfully recognized days that inspire global solidarity—such as International Day of Peace and World Humanitarian Day. Declaring 12 Rabi ul Awwal as Global Compassion Day would be a similar step: a day that unites humanity in kindness, beyond boundaries of religion, race, or nation.
