This semesters has been difficult for all students. While it is great that we are allowed to pass/fail 3 classes, we are asking for the ability to p/f all courses, the same as Spring 2020. There has been no change since Spring 2020, if anything it has been more difficult for students because we didn't start the first two months of classes in-person. Further, our semester has been condensed and as a result, the work-load has been higher than normal. Many students are still facing economic consequences of COVID-19 that have not gone away since last semester. UMass has done nothing to alleviate the burden of this pandemic on students. The performance of many students online is very different than the performance in-person.
