Today’s headline in the daily mail about teachers being prevented from working was a lie. Teachers are working and have done so throughout this lockdown. Teachers have the right to be protected within their workplace and the Daily Mail must be stopped from printing dangerous lies about the current situation in schools. We all want schools to reopen but it must be done safely. Teachers are not dispensable. This is for the safety of teachers, children and the families we serve. The Daily Mail must print a retraction of their lies and should be made to print the truth, taking account of all sides of the debate and putting the safety of ALL at the forefront of what they write. It is clear that a ‘new normal’ will be adopted in many workplaces over the next few months. The Daily Mail must stop its lies and understand that what they do is malicious and unhelpful in terms of the real debate that is required. Please sign this petition and support all of the key workers that have served our nation during this crisis. Stop the Daily Mail from printing lies which do nothing to serve the needs of the masses or the minority they seem to serve.
