The U.K. Government has announced a £4bn investment in hydrogen fuel to replace our damaging dependency on gas. The clearly best candidate for this fuel is Green Hydrogen which is literally made from water. 

However, today, an industry leader has quit as an advisor to the government on this because the government has allowed oil companies to swoop in and take over half of the bid to manufacture “blue hydrogen” made from FOSSIL FUELS. The process of making this is suspected to emit 20% more harmful co2 than just straight up burning gas! Moreover, there is reason to believe that oil companies are now making false claims about the costs of green hydrogen to limit treasury appetite for it and line their own pockets!

This is our lives and futures that our government are once again allowing Petro-chemical companies like BP to buy with false claims. We should be turning our backs on these people now, not listening to their silver tongued promises! 

Please sign to demand the government to say no the manufacture of Blue Hydrogen, to invest solely in Green Hydrogen and force our Parliament to hold the Treasury to account for once again colluding with the very companies that have put us in this crisis!
