Hull is integral to the UK economy as a gateway to Europe and beyond. However, it has been overlooked again by the UK Government and not considered part of the core rail network. This is despite being part of the Northern Powerhouse rail. We want to see the UK Government commit to electrifying the line between Hull and Selby to improve journey times between the East and West Coast.
