Animals, particularly dogs and cats suffer massively with the sounds of pointless fireworks being set off in residential areas by either organised displays or the general public buying them in supermarkets. Myself and many others on social media have created specific groups to warn other owners of these selfish incidents taking place with or without warning but it doesn't always help. 

The fact that the general public can easily buy these dangerous and pointless explosives is absolutely ridiculous! Causing accidents and unnecessary callouts for the fire departments of the UK! 

I feel like there is absolutely no need for fireworks in residential areas as it's massively unfair on people who suffer with severe PTSD, pets that are terrified of the explosions and it also disrupts peoples evenings. I Personally believe like many others that the general public shouldn't be able to just go into any supermarket and buy a handful of fireworks like they are a loaf of bread! If a big public organised event is taking place on news years or guy fawkes night then why not organise it to take place in a remote location or set them off a boat in the ocean where it's safe and far away from anyone to hear, only see. I understand people will disagree with me but i think the mental health of animals and human beings that don't enjoy fireworks is a bit more important if I'm honest.
