I believe all NHS and Emergency Services staff who have put their lives and families at risk during the present COVID-19 crisis deserve some sort of reward for their service and in too many cases sacrifice. As a nation we do the same for the armed forces but it strikes me there is very little recognition for civilians.  
A clap on a Thursday night was very nice but something official from the Nation would be an ongoing reminder of the thanks our Nation owes these people and their families who have given so much and continue to do so.
