The Issue

AIM of petition is to reduce the amount of money that households with children in the UK receive from the taxpayer via universal credits each year, they have had too much for far too long.

The vast majority of household with children in the UK are costing the government (the taxpayer) money each year regardless if they are working or not, and are a financial liability to the UK taxpayer.

For over twenty years households with children in the UK have been on the tax credit (now universal credit gravy train) where the taxpayers hands over thousands of pounds each year to fund their families. They say that having children is expensive, the reality is that they are expensive to the taxpayer but not to the parents, the parents can make a very good living based on all the welfare benefits they get from the government each year. The taxpayers money lifts them to a level in life that they would not reach if it was down to their own life achievements.

There is a saying in the UK, “Have a kid or two, lots of welfare benefits for you”.

In a time where the UK finances is at record debt levels, there are far better and more important things to spend the taxpayers money, than giving those who are already getting too much of the taxpayers money even more.

UK Households with children have never had it so easy, has they have had during the past twenty years, but still they consistently use financial sob stories. But in all my life in the UK I have never seen child poverty and it a very debatable subject.

If you go into any UK city or town at a weekend, all the food outlets are full of youths, all the youths are wearing the latest designer gear, many of the youths are wearing the latest football kits of their favourite teams, most youths have latest mobile phones which cost monthly packages, and if you go in the sports shops most youths are selecting trainers from the higher end price range, most parents are driving around in large 4x4 people carriers, millions of households with children somehow despite all the financial hardship find enough money for a yearly holiday. Non of these factors promote to me child poverty, and I do not know how anybody can can keep a straight face when they disagree with me.

The media and those that claim child poverty will use a family living in the most expensive part of the UK has an example, but in most parts of the UK you can live very well based on the welfare benefits that most households with children get in the UK.

Conclusion

It is time the UK government stopped with the obsession of throwing the taxpayers money are households with children.
