JUSTICE FOR ZOE ALEXANDER

JUSTICE FOR ZOE ALEXANDER
The Issue
Back in 2012, Zoe Alexander auditioned for the X factor. She was working as a pink tribute artist at the time and that was her day job.
Before she actually auditioned, there was a abit of a process she went through with producers via email, they asked her to send over 5 songs she would perform on the show (not one song she chose was by pink). The X factor producers wrote back to her and told her that she should sing a pink song, it then became clear that if she didn't sing a pink song, she wouldn't be able to come onto the show.
When she arrived, the producers kept asking her weird, specific questions about pinkn tey asked her to be there for 6am, hours before she had to actually be there and everyone continued to mention pink when she just wanted to be Zoe.
She sang the first song 'so what by pink' the judges said she shouldn't have picked a pink song if she was trying to get away from the pink image. She then realised she had been set up by the X factor as a laughing stock. They told her to sing a second song of her choice so she chose to sing an 'Emile Sande' song, they played it in a different key and turned off the stage speakers, so she couldn't hear herself sing.
When the judges said that she 'messed it up', this is when she began to feel angry, hurt and used as she was used as a joke act infront of the whole nation. Zoe just wanted to follow her dreams of being a singer and be herself.
8 years later, the situation has been brought back to life, with the support of her followers on Tiktok, Instagram etc. Nicole Sherzinger has now blocked Zoe on tiktok as all Nicole's comments are covered in, #justiceforzoealexander 'apologise to Zoe'.
The X factor have recently gone on to block all comments on posts as the supporters are now posting the same on there too trying to get justice for Zoe, 8 years later not one single apology to her for what they did to her.
Since her story started to go viral, more people have spoken up about what they went through too.
Please sign this petition to get justice for zoe Alexander. Not only supporting her but encouraging others to speak up about it. I've spoken to Zoe and she is very greatful for the support she is getting from everyone, no one should have to go through this.
