Especially in autumn but also throughout the year, I am bombarded  by a cacophony of noise from more than one ''gardener'' operating incredibly loud leaf blowers. The objective seems to be to blow the leaves from their respective gardens into the street. At the very least, these blowers should be subject to more stringent decibel controls or more radically to fine the leaf blower operatives for contributing to the litter in our streets.
