Champions of norrath and champions return to arms were and still are the best hack and slash rpgs of all time. Many will agree. Those who have played one of the games want at least a remastered version. Or like me, some will want a 3rd champions to spend countless hours on. How about instead of trying to make a new idea thats never been done before and having it fail after spending tons of money on it. Try looking in the past and bring back something that has been missed for years and years. Theres no other feeling like playing champions late at night and into the morning. This game has got me and others alike through some hard times, relieving stress while giving us joy after beating that boss after 3 hours of trying again and again. Or picking up those really rare items after fighting hordes of enemies. Or losing a level 80 character because it got shoved off the memory card...not gonna talk about that, anyway. The nastalgia alone will not only bring players that have played in the past on console but will also pull players off of Everquest on pc to because they want to see what it will be like playing something other than another everquest dlc on pc. Games that support local play are pretty uncommon today. Im shocked because when people have friends over they wanna play something they can both play. If they wanna play a multiplayer rpg hack and slash they have to either settle for diablo and kill nothing but demons, or find one of the few bad hack and slash rpgs with really cluttered huds. The overall simplicity of champions of norrath, and return to arms brought in tons of players that have never even played a video game before. Because it was so easy to pick up. If ubisoft makes a champions 3 thats just as simple and full of content like the previous games, it would be a huge hit. Bringing back really old games in general makes people go crazy because theres always gonna be people that say "ohh wow, i used to play that years ago!" People want fun games? Well this game sure had me hooked for well over 100 days. I grew up playing this game with my dad. We still to this day dream of a champions 3. I cant imagine how many everquest fans are still sad because because they think that hack and slash couch co-op rpgs are just a thing of the past. Please make our dreams a very real reality.
