We, the undersigned UAW members, are calling on International UAW leadership and the UAW-GM Department for answers regarding the implementation of the negotiated Special Attrition Program (SAP).

Across multiple GM facilities, members with significantly less seniority have received earlier SAP release dates than higher-seniority members given the same work/classification. 

Seniority is one of the most basic principles of our union. Members deserve to know why it wasn't followed.

WE ARE ASKING:

What criteria did GM use to determine SAP release dates?

Why wasn't "seniority" protocol used to determine SAP release dates? 

What role did the UAW have in determining or approving the implementation process?

What is our International leadership doing NOW to address it?

Will the remaining SAP dates be reviewed and corrected using seniority?

This isn't about one member, one plant, one candidate or one election.

It's about members demanding transparency, accountability and representation from the people we elected.

We aren't asking for special treatment.

We're asking for answers. And we're asking our leadership to stand up for SENIORITY.
