The Afghanistan Counterterrorism, Oversight, and Accountability Act

The Afghanistan Counterterrorism, Oversight, and Accountability Act

It is well-known fact that in the past 20 years, Pakistan's Intelligence Services (ISI) aiding, training, and supporting the Taliban terrorists. The ISI has been instrumental in supplying weapons and military aid to the Taliban. In August 2021, the Taliban with the aid of Pakistan were able to topple the Afghan government and capture the Capital, Kabul. Since that day, more than 14.2 Million Afghan women and minorities in Afghanistan have been living in fear of execution, torture, and loss of their human rights. As recent as last week the Chancellor of the Kabul University, prohibited the Afghan girls to enter the university. Additionally, the Taliban search door-to-door for female and human rights activists.
Pakistan's ISI and its leadership shamelessly in a broad daylight show their role in Afghanistan. The evidence is in ISI Chief travel to Kabul to emphasize ISI's role in the formation of the all-male Talib government, whose members are on the UN terrorist list.
The Afghan people demand accountability and sanction of the ISI. The human rights issue should not be partisan politics in the US Senate.
Please pass The Afghanistan Counterterrorism, Oversight, and Accountability Act and hold the terrorists accountable for the lost lives of the American Military and Afghan Civilians.
