As the first step in pursuing a recall election to replace Sen. Sinema, we hereby present our petition to Sen. Sinema, requesting her to pledge, pursuant to Arizona Revised Statute Sec. 19-222, to resign from the Senate if she is recalled by Arizona voters.  The text of the proposed pledge is:

"I, Kyrsten Sinema, Senator of the Great State of Arizona, promise that if I am recalled by the Arizona voters, I will immediately resign from the Senate, and allow my successor, who may be elected in like manner as a state officer, to take my seat in Congress." 

The reasons for this action are numerous and urgent. 

• Sen. Sinema has betrayed the voters who sent her to Washington. 
• Sen. Sinema does not represent us, and has feathered her nest with campaign contributions from lobbyists who thrive by locking popular legislation up in committee. 
• Sen. Sinema has become a willing tool of forces that are dedicated to crushing the nation's deeply-felt demand for voting reform, infrastructure development, and many other legislative initiatives that will inevitably fail if Sen. Sinema continues in her obstructionist course. 

Given her intransigence, her defiance of the voters, and her arrogant dismissal of the needs of a nation that stands at the crossroads of democracy and tyranny, we have no choice but to act to remove her from office as swiftly as possible.  It would be irresponsible to wait for the next Senatorial election to take action. Accordingly, this Petition has been prepared, as the first step in promptly removing her from office.
