In 1861, during the Civil War, the first Federal income tax was created only to help finance the war efforts. It exempted only the poor. However it was not supposed to be an established tax and was repealed in 1872. It should have remained that way.

  So in 1894, Congress passed the Wilson-Groman tariff. It established a tax rate of 2% for annual income over $4,000. Once again it was overturned by Supreme Court in 1895. In a 5-4 decision, the Supreme Court said the Income Tax Act of 1894 was an unconstitutional direct tax. 

In a desperate move to continue the theft by taxation. In February of 1913, the Sixteenth Amendment to the Constitution was ratified. Giving Congress the power to bypass Supreme Court and impose a personal income tax. The Revenue Act of 1916 began the practice of adjusting tax rates and income scales. It created what is widely considered the predecessor to the modern day estate tax.

With the current situations we are facing today, covid19/delta variant. The government is handing out all these stimulus packages. Which essentially is already our money... So why not just end income tax, at least on a federal level, if not all together. 

With your help we can tell Congress to overturn the 16th Amendment. Removing taxation on personal income. We pay taxes on everything we buy, except clothing in most states. The whole taxation system needs to be overhauled. The first place we need to start. Is with you, the people. Its easier to stand together when our legs are not being kicked out from under us.
