Shut Down Venmo Down I Want Rightful Reimbursements for all.
The Issue
This petition is to have the policies of Venmo legally reviewed by unbiased law makers and it is to change the policies of too. Venmo allows its users to transfer funds at their fingertips. I use Venmo often to transfer funds from me to different people. I was trying to send money to my sister for my brother. We are not friends via Venmo because she is a new user, so I asked her to send me a request. I logged in to a request that I thought was her and sent this person $150. I asked her if she received the $150 and she told me she had not sent the request yet. I then reached out to the person I mistkenly sent the money to and was told that the transaction was not accepted. I asked them to decline it and send me a screenshot for the declined transaction of my $150. I was then blocked by this person that received my $150. I followed the protocol for a refund request via Venmo policy and/or option. I was told it's up to the recipient to send my money back (per Supervisor Padraic C). This company has all this person's information and its a vendor for PayPal which is licensed and insured. They're refusing to help me because I was told by Padraic C. (The Supervisor) that I was alerted before processing the request. I did not receive any alerts informing me this person was the wrong person. Pedraic C was the supervisor that I spoke with and he used all the information I provided to him against me. I have read the reviews and I see a lot of people have had issues similar to mine. This is unfair and unsavory business practice especially when dealing with money and/or banking information. This company is antrocious and utterly disgusting because we the people entrust this company with immediate access to our bank accounts'. Venmo represents itself as reputable company (PayPal) that millions deal with daily. I wish to have policies changed and for the monies to be held for 2 business days when transferring monies and before it's fully released. I wish to have a cancellation button implemented within the options so we the people wouldn't have to depend on a third-party to intervene when transactions are sent in error, or I wish to have Venom shut down as a vendor that deals with money. Venmo does not consider the consumers and their mistakes. If I find something that's lost doesn't make it mine just because I found it. Therefore, just because money was sent to the wrong person doesn't make it theirs, well it does per Venmo's policies and Supervisor Pedriac C. I wish to have a cancel button added and the funds to be held for two business days before the transaction is completely made. This change will allow users' to stop payments made in error and/or to cancel without having a third party decide if the funds could be reimbursed, transferred, insured, or etc.
