We need to Amend The Tillman Act of 1907 (34 Stat. 864) which keeps corporations from donating to political campaigns. We can not have a few big corporations owned by a few super rich people having more influence then states full of people. They do this by being considered people and then donating to PACs and Super PACs. This is in direct contradiction to what the Tillman Act was passed to prevent. In the amendment it should make clear that corporations should never be considered people and that they can not donate to any type of Federal campaign through any type of PAC or Super PAC. Sign this petition then contact your representative and let them know you do not want corporations to have the ability to donate to federal campaigns in anyway whatsoever including any type of backdoor such as donating to anything else that will subsequently donate to a federal campaign. If this does not happen we will not be able to continue on much longer as a nation. We have politicians catering to the select top few billionaires and ramming any bill they want through congress quickly because if they don't, and any certain politicians try to hold the bill up, they will not get corporate support which will lead to them being out campaigned on a massive level. The politicians you elected are being held hostage by top tier corporations using PACs. Instead of doing what is best for the people they have to do what the corporations want or they will lose the corporate donations through PACa and will not have an even playing field to compete. No more corporate funding period!
