Lt. Col. Stuart Scheller (USMC) was relieved of his duties unjustly. I served 8 years in the Marine Corps, 2 tours in Afghanistan, and I stand with Lt. Col. Scheller. This botched exit of Afghanistan goes beyond presidents. The Sec. Def. lied to Congress about the ANA’s ability to hold off the taliban, knowing that plenty of lower grade officers reported the ineptitude of the ANA/ANP and were ignored by senior leadership. The same leadership that Lt.  Col. Scheller called out. He upheld the Marine Corps ethos, he upheld the oath he took to this nation and is unjustly being separated for demanding accountability. Congress needs to stop this. Allowing this to happen will only continue to silence military members from letting you and the rest of the public know what true issues exist on the battle field and throughout the DoD. I have little faith this petition will cause much, if any, action but maybe, it will be more effective than a Facebook post. Please note I have never served with Lt. Col. Scheller, nor do I know him.
