The history of African Americans and their plight for equality is a highly controversial subject. From the times of slavery to the approaching time of diversity and inclusion. There have been many efforts to bring about better conditions for African Americans but to the majority of its population, there's evidence that prejudice and discrimination are still very dominant factors in the systematic oppression of their people. As Americans we witness the struggles of the Indigenous Natives to rebuild themselves from a time when justice did not prevail and we embrace their endeavors. In the like manner we feel that the affairs of African Americans require special attention for their own political, social and economic growth. This petition is in support of the initiative of The U.S. Department of African American Affairs to investigate the need for and foster programs for the betterment of the equality of life for all African Americans without bias.
