Ask your state Representatives to become co-sponsors of the Humane Cosmetics Act and so we can save millions of animals' lives.

The Issue

Every day, countless rabbits, mice, dogs, guinea pigs, rats, monkeys and more are tested on. They deal with injections, force-feedings, chemical tests, and are killed for the purpose of cosmetic testing.

There is no law in the United States that says cosmetic companies are required to test on animals in order for their products to be sold. So why keep doing this to millions of helpless animals?

Animal testing should not be used in the United States. There are already bans in place in the European Union that have worked with little issues, so why not have those same bans here in the USA? There are many different types of alternatives that are available for use for these cosmetic companies that can replace animals. These alternatives are more accurate, cheaper and faster than testing on animals. They are also more humane and morally and ethically right.

The Animal Welfare Act, which is in place to help protect the animals that are tested on, does not cover 90% of the animals that are the most tested on- rats, mice [and birds].

U.S. Representative Jim Moran has introduced the Humane Cosmetics Act to end animal testing for cosmetics in the United States.  This legislation addresses the cruelty of animal testing for cosmetics and ensures that alternative, non-animal tests are used.

So please sign this petition to ask your Representatives to become co-sponsors of the Humane Cosmetics Act and you can save the lives of millions of animals.
