USPS needs funding to keep vital low cost services available to all American citizens.

The Issue

The U.S. Postal Service has connected and served the citizens of this great country diligently since 1775, with Benjamin Franklin charged as the first ever Postmaster General.  These heroes travel routes and service areas that most of the private companies will not, keeping Americans vitally connected to each other and the greater society we live in.  These heroes, even now, are out delivering our much needed mail as essential workers, braving the front lines to deliver goods that we might not be able to go buy in this time of Stay at Home orders.  They do this without question and at overly competitive low rates compared to all the private parcel companies to help us, the people of America.

In this time of crisis the USPS has become even more politicized as Trump, who can only put down this great agency, tasks Steve Mnuchin to use his power as the Treasury Secretary of the United States to leverage the USPS to raise it's rates on Amazon.  All this because Trump has some sort of political vendetta against Amazons owner.

As Americans it is time to stand up and tell Trump, Mnuchin, and every other politician in America(Democrat AND Republican) to stop threatening the USPS with political ploys and plots of privatization.

Stop trying to use the crisis of this Pandemic and it's relief as leverage to gain political points with conservative think tanks, superpacs, and billionaire donors.  The USPS is a vein that runs deep throughout the body of this great country and any attack upon it is an attack upon the very freedoms we hold so dear in this great land of ours.
