Most of the homework that my son brings home, he needs help with. Do you know how hard it is to rock a one-month old baby in one arm while trying to explain acute triangles to my 6-year old? It's nearly impossible. 

My son should be outside playing, or building logo empires, or exploring the depths of a can of Play-Doh (no copyright infringement intended). Instead, he spends 7 hours at school, learning gosh knows what...just to come home and do another 2 hours of homework. 

To be honest, this is a plea to help me just as much as it is to help my child. I just don't have the strength and tenacity to sit next to my child and re-learn things I "would never need to know in the future". 

7 hours is more than enough time to teach my son what he needs to know. Please stop sending work home. Trust me, he never goes without knowledge in my home.
