Dear Readers,

In Pyay, we have been burning trash for many years now, but I think it should be stopped. This happens explicitly in winters, which is coming up very soon. In the evenings, the smell of smoke fills the town, and the air becomes hard to see though because of the thick clouds of smoke. The smoke fills our houses so we have to close all doors shut for hours, till they thin out. 

There are many other ways to get rid of the trash. We do not need to burn them and expose the pollution onto the town. Most of those being burned are leaves, instead of burning them and release the irritants into the air, which can cause respiratory problems, they can be composed and turned into fertilizers.

Plastics are also being burned which releases harmful dioxins that are highly dangerous and can cause reproductive and developmental problems. Sulfur dioxide, hydrochloride acid, and many more harmful gases are also produced, and they have been known to cause respiratory ailments and cause stress in the human immune system, which is not a good thing for all people near and far, during this pandemic.

To be summarized, here are the reasons why we should make this stop.

2. Hazardous for Health

       3.  Contaminate soil and water
