“I’ll snap your windpipe until it breaks” 

That’s a message I received in my Twitter notifications.  It’s a death threat and it came from Curious Cat, a platform I have never used.

In a week where violence against women was being talked about it made me feel physically sick.

Curious Cat is a site where individuals can be targeted with horrendous abuse. Twitter allows people to link to Curious Cat meaning that those who do not even use the CC platform will experience vile death threats & abuse as their Twitter handle is tagged and they receive these messages in their notifications.

Twitter can stop this by revoking all access to Curious Cat.  There has been previous petitions about this but Twitter took no action.  They are fully aware of the extent of the problems but have done nothing.

But now enough is enough.  Twitter users should feel safe on the platform but they have no control over receiving CC abuse.  Anyone at the whim of a troll can receive an anonymous death threat.  Twitter needs to stop it and ban Curious Cat from their platform
