Since December 2020 tvn diffused a new kdrama named "True Beauty" ( 여신강림 ) who's based on the Webtoon of the same name.

The drama is based on the story of Lim Ju-Kyung, a 18-year-old high school student, who was being bullied and discriminated her whole lie because of being perceived as "ugly" by a lot of people. Ju-Kyung had the chance to be transferring to a new school.. She learned incredbily amazing make-ups skills to transform herself. The result was that Ju-Kyung was now considered as a "goddess" by the others students. But she still considers herself ugly. Her greatest fear is that her friends will see her real face, and then start to reject her and bullying her again.

True Beauty aired 16 episodes and obviously a second season wasn't planned. I think a lot of people find this really sad, the show does have a lot of potential. A second season is really possible. They got a lot of options for more drama, character's evolution... It would be a waste to stop this early ! A second season will offer a lot of opportunities, including making Ju-Kyung have a relationship with Seo-Jun, regardless of which couple would be the endgame. True Beauty could be the kind of tv show who has a countless seasons. It's the kind of drama who deserve more than only one season.
