Given the recent news from the CIA, retracting the Time Person of the Year from Donald Trump and awarding it to Vladimir Putin would be appropriate and more accurate.

Putin has achieved the unthinkable by influencing the elections of the most powerful nation in the world, dividing it, while protecting himself through Donald Trump. This makes Trump unknowingly Putin's puppet. How can a puppet be Person of the Year? Surely that award must go to the Puppetmaster? This year, another Russian goal of UK leaving the EU was achieved. No doubt Russian propaganda and misinformation penetrated British internet. Retracting the Time Person of the Year from Trump would be unprecedented but warranted, and would generate unprecedented media attention.

It may be the only thing that gets Trump to turn on Russia - by making him jealous of and humiliated by Putin.
