The Great Lakes freighter the Arthur M Anderson is a piece of history. She was the last ship in contact with the SS Edmund Fitzgerald, who sank on November 10, 1975. And, probably within the next 10-20 years, her fleet is going to scrap her. But- scrap such a beautiful piece of American history? Not on my watch. Sign my petition for Arthur's company to, whenever she gets too old to puff around anymore, retire her to the calm life of a museum ship!
