Return the Blockquote Layout to Posts

The Issue

As of September 2nd 2015 Tumblr unleashed quite an eyesore of an update. This update scrapped the traditional, long-standing post format using an easy-to-read block quotes system and instead opting to use a system more akin to social media sites like Facebook. However, as a result of the update, not only is it blocky, it also makes it difficult for people who have reading disabilities to actually read the comments, makes people ignore comments altogether, and blatantly encourages the erasure of the original poster's comment--which encourages content theft.

This update shows Tumblr's true ignorance and refusal to listen to its user-base, which will no longer stand. There are plenty of better options that could have been implemented and many users have come forth withlegitimate ideas and criticisms that would keep the original format in addition to making it easier to see which user said what.

This petition has been created because there has been update after update that have all been taken negatively, but this is by far the worst offender. There have been repeated requests by the community for years to fix multiple problems with the website that have been consistently ignored.

This petition hereby requests that upon receiving 10,000 (or more) signatures from Tumblr users, Tumblr staff and support will reverse the changes made for the previously easier to read layout.
