Tumblr's bullying and harassment policies do not protect their users. They allow people to be bullied and harassed with no repercussions. When I became the target of bullying - a blog created for the sole purpose of harassing me, multiple posts made about me that were hurtful and untruthful, and being tagged in a multitude of posts meant to slander and defame me - I reported the blog and the abusers to Tumblr. It took them nearly 3 weeks to respond and their response was that nothing could be done. They refused to take the blog down and those users abusing me suffered no repercussions. Meanwhile, I have suffered emotional and physical distress, along with damage to my personal, offline life.

Something needs to change. Tumblr's policies and their handling of abuse, bullying, and harassment by their users against other users needs to be fixed. By doing nothing, Tumblr condones those behaviors. They need to make protecting their users a priority.
