Tumblr has and always will be a great blogging platform.  One that operates with simplicity, style and ease of access for many people.  However it used to be host to a large community of people who enjoyed it for its NSFW content.  That all ended in 2018 when, pressured by Apple Store, they did the purge.  Thousands of blogs were deleted due to the changes in the TOS that came as a harsh slap to the face for many long time supporters of the platform.  Thousands more were moved to a sexually explicit category and met their end due to the loss of the community.  Today few remain behind trying to continue to keep their blogs alive and relevant despite the strict bots that flag everything and the moderators trying to eliminate NSFW content from the site all together.  

The reasons behind the purge were to some degree understandable at the time, even if met with opposition.  Wasn't there a better way to handle the safety concerns or challenge Apple Store that didn't involve completely turning your back on an entire community of people?  Since then we've seen Pornhub under scrutiny for similar reasons yet still standing strong.  OnlyFans was just recently under the public eye and nearly forced to eliminate their NSFW community, yet they stood up for themselves and the people they supported.  These are examples, that I think, those representing the Tumblr brand need to learn by and follow in suit.  

This is 2021 and freedom of expression be it in the form of nude, sexual or artistic content should not be frowned upon.  The message you send to everyone by prohibiting and banning that expression is in itself a form of oppression.  I challenge your decision to stop supporting sexualized content on the Tumblr platform.  There are better ways to try and fight the issue of human trafficking, child pornography and the acts of the few.  It should not be met with turning your back on the needs of the many.  Find a better solution, stand up for the people who supported your platform and helped it to thrive into what it is today.  Bring back NSFW content to Tumblr and get rid of the bots!
