The nurses, medical assistants and health care providers at El Rio Health Center Northwest are tired! We are working harder than ever during a global pandemic and we have lost many staff members. Not to mention that Flu season has started! El Rio is on a hiring freeze allegedly, however our numbers and quota is up so we should be getting more money for staffing. Other clinics are able to hire, but we are not? It is not fair to employees but more importantly our patients who are experiencing longer wait times. We are down 4 Medical Assistants and 3 LPNs. We are all mentally drained. Employees are calling out because they are so exhausted and feel guilty because it is adding to the staffing issue. We need help!
