CABLE THEFT ZEBRA/KRAAI ROUTE

We as the residents of Ward 3 demand that TMPD and The City of Tshwane put security measures in place to secure the Zebra/Kraai route which every week is been targeted by cable thieves. Constant power outages causes our appliances to be damaged, our food to spoil and is very inconvenient to us.

We suggest a private security company to be employed to work in conjunction with SAPS, TMPD and City of Tshwane.

There are several other substations in other suburbs within ward 3 that gets vandalized during the day also causing power outages.

Measures should be put in place for stronger and harsher penalties and punishment for people found in possession of stolen copper. This includes and pertains to second hand scrap dealers.
