TSA: Don't Allow "Priority" Airport Screening Lines

TSA: Don't Allow "Priority" Airport Screening Lines
The Issue
We've all spent too much time waiting in long airport security lines while those who can afford high priced first or business class tickets go through short or empty lines. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) security screening is a government service, and we should all be equal when it comes to government services. The speed of a government service should NOT depend on how much we pay to an airline.
We understand that services provided by the airlines themselves such as better seats and early boarding vary based on the type of ticket provided, but security screening in most large airports is provided by TSA as a government run service. TSA should not allow airlines to profit by offering better access to a government service as a perk for a high priced ticket (or participation in their reward programs).
Trusted traveler programs that allow simplified screening at the airport after criminal history and other checks charge a fee to cover the costs of the program, but this fee is paid to the government, not the airlines, and is much less than the cost of a first or business class ticket. We shouldn't have to pay the airlines in order to get quick service from TSA.
Even more, having separate lines is a waste of resources as the priority lines are often not fully utilized. Using all the lines fully would be more efficient!
TSA should immediately end this practice or make it clear that travelers don't have to obey the airlines' policies when those policies prevent us from accessing a government service.
