Delta Youth Foundation & True West Boxing – 453 Main Street, Delta, Colorado

We, the undersigned members of the Delta County community, proudly express our strong support for the continued development and permanent establishment of the Delta Youth Foundation and True West Boxing at 453 Main Street in Delta, Colorado.

Over the past year and a half, this program has become a powerful and positive force in our community, delivering real, tangible results.

More than 60 individuals have participated in the program, including youth, foster youth, and adults. Through structured boxing training and fitness programming, participants have gained strength, confidence, discipline, and a sense of belonging.

This program is unique—not only in Delta, but across the Western Slope. There are currently no comparable boxing programs in the region, and very limited fitness facilities serving our community. As a result, True West Boxing is already drawing participants from surrounding areas including Montrose and Grand Junction.

We have witnessed:

• Youth being lifted up through structure, mentorship, and physical activity

• Foster youth gaining confidence, consistency, and positive engagement

• Adults finding a motivating and community-driven fitness environment

• Increased connection among participants across all ages and backgrounds

• A growing demand for this type of program within Delta and beyond

This is not a future vision—it is already happening.

Establishing a permanent home at 453, Main Street will allow this program to expand its reach, serve more individuals, and continue contributing to the health, vitality, and economic activity of downtown Delta.

We believe this project represents a meaningful and responsible investment in our community, with both social and economic benefits.

This is more than a fitness facility.
