Immediate resignation of the Executive Committee

Immediate resignation of the Executive Committee
The Issue
When coaches don't perform, they get fired. When players don't perform, they get dropped. Why should the reaction to poor performance by the administrators be any different?
While there are numerous incidents of personal disgrace from members of the TTFF administration (not least, the recent suspension by FIFA of Richard Groden), it is more useful to deal with those officers as one unit, as each individual has stood idly by witnessing the demise of football in T&T.
There are no long term plans to develop the talent of young footballers in T&T. Whereas many countries stage schoolboy internationals, TTFF have resolutely ignored the development of our young players.
We currently see TTFF acting outside of FIFA mandates by failing to regularly interact with our nations top match officials, instead opting to force their own rules upon this body, resulting in qualified, yet inexperienced match officials overseeing professional matches.
There is no interaction with the T&T Pro League. This league has a direct impact on the fortunes of our national teams, yet the TTFF provides no support and, in fact, is hampering the league with its current impasse with match officials.
The undemocratic election activities being viewed in the various zones, also point to TTFF administrators looking the other way in an unabashed display of cronyism. The TTFF mandate to oversee fair and impartial elections in the zones is conveniently being ignored, hampering the emergence of new, young blood into football's administration.
TTFF's ignorance of T&Ts football supporters and their concerns are reflected in the sub 4,000 attendances at international matches. Their inability to market their own product is laughable and the appointment of a marketing company by the Minister of Sports is also questionable as there was no request for tendering for this contract.
After years of consistent failure and embarrassment, not one single TTFF administrator has been fired. These people are now in charge of an undemocratic, bankrupt federation who cannot even raise funds for the sport that they oversee.
It is time for fresh faces. Whatever people may argue, it is impossible for new administrators to perform less effectively. With no democratic method of removing these useless and ineffective dinosaurs, there is no way for T&T football to progress. Football is our national sport, yet currently, we are viewed as laughing stocks by even our closest neighbours. Our entire administration is viewed as corrupt and unprofessional, and this view is then projected away from football and becomes a reflection of our country, our society and our businesses.
We do not expect Trinidad & Tobago to win every game they play, but we do expect to provide the best possible infrastructure and preparation. This has been sadly lacking for umpteen years.
We urge the citizens of Trinidad & Tobago to back our protest. Write to the papers, phone into TV shows, complain to your MPs. Let your voices be heard, the way that they were heard in every corner of the world in 2006. Raise your voices, wave our flag, and save our game.
