I am requesting the renaming of West 172 Street and Haven Ave to Johnny "J. McFly" Medina Avenue to honor the memory of Johnny Medina, a beloved musician and community hero. Johnny's contributions to our neighborhood were immense. Through his music and selfless actions, he brought joy, inspiration, and safety to many.

One notable act of bravery was when Johnny intervened to save a woman from an attack in the park, showcasing his dedication to our community's well-being. Tragically, Johnny's life was cut short at the train station where he grew up, a loss deeply felt by all who knew him.

Renaming these streets after Johnny would be a fitting tribute, ensuring his legacy of kindness and courage is remembered.
