Save the Spondon Flyer Bus Service

Save the Spondon Flyer Bus Service
The Issue
Cuts are set to hit Spondon Flyer bus services from January
From January 5th, the daytime frequency of services drops to just 3 buses an hour instead of the current 4 and evening services are axed completely from Sunday to Thursday.
The last Flyer of the evening will leave Derby at 7.30pm Monday to Thursday and 6.39pm on Sundays. Friday and Saturday evenings look to remain unchanged.
Reinstating bus services across the country will provide a lifeline to many people, particularly the elderly, the vulnerable and people living in rural areas who have been totally cut off as a result of their bus services disappearing.
Increasing bus use will also combat air pollution and climate change impacts, address inequalities and support local economies.
This policy complements Labour’s plans to put communities in control of local services by regulating and bringing into public ownership local services, and introducing free bus fares for young people.
If Labour form the next goverment then we will reinstrate these important services.
If they don't then we will lobby and fight to bring them back in any way we can.
