Snails Bay forms part of beautiful Sydney Harbour, situated next to Cockatoo Island, it lines the shore line of Birchgrove and Balmain.

Over the last 3 years Transport NSW has seen fit  use Snails bay as a dumping ground for Junk, they have dumped the old floating convention centre, a disused dry dock and  barges housing unused construction equipment and more.

Snails Bay is used by a number of Sailing clubs to hold sailing regattas,  with the yachts increasingly having to navigate the junk whilst  sailing the bay.

The situation is deemed to get worse, with Transport NSW planning to dump concrete moorings over the next 12-36 months as they build the Western Harbour tunnel.

We are seeking community support to lobby Transport NSW to STOP using Snails Bay as a floating Junk yard; we are seeking Transport NSW to remove the Dry Dock and old Convention Center that have taken up permanent residence in Snails Bay; We are seeking Transport NSW to commit to not use Snails Bay to dump concrete moorings during the constructions of the Western Harbour Tunnel. We are seeking Jamie Parker MP and Darcy Byrne IWC Mayor to lobby the State Govt and Transport NSW to protect Snails Bay from further environmental deterioration
