Remove the 2 way cycle lane on Woolwich Road towards Blackwall tunnel.

Remove the 2 way cycle lane on Woolwich Road towards Blackwall tunnel.
The Issue
The new two-way cycle lane is causing issues. Pedestrians are carelessly walking through the cycle lane without looking. Buses are having to narrowly squeeze through the roads that are left. It makes it worse at crossings when some people push their push chair out into the road making it difficult for cars to swerve as both lanes are tight. It's causing more traffic and congestion than necessary and the roads are so much more congested than ever before!
A fire department is there, along with other local shops and accessing such routes has become increasingly difficult as for many the retail park offers local supermarkets and leisure activities. Especially as it is a busy road the old two lanes they had was more convenient. The cycle lane can be understood to try and increase cycling and discourage car use but how about reduce bus fairs or make access into London much easier. Many people do live and work locally in Greenwich and are constantly being held up by traffic.
Cars are now having to wait behind buses rather than overtake as they could do before. It makes it incredibly difficult when cars or buses break down as you cannot overtake and pedestrians are carelessly walking in and out of the cycle lane (because they're too busy not noticing their surroundings by being on their phones or not watching the oncoming bikes). This particular issue is incredibly heightened at an ill placed bus stop where pedestrians are waiting in the cycle lane.
The traffic always extends into the route to and from Blackwall tunnel which is a route many people need to access for work purposes especially now where people are encouraged to go back into offices. Making such drastic road changes should have been outlined to local residents of the borough of Greenwich as most people from Plumstead, Woolwich, Charlton and Blackheath do use this area to commute to London especially as most people are likely using train service or tube services. The traffic extends as far back close to Plumstead because of the additional bus lanes that have been introduce throughout Plumstead near the station, through to Woolwich right up until Greenwich. Many people need access to the Jubilee line via North Greenwich Station, but many cars are having to now take the alternate route which is causing all sorts of traffic.
The traffic and single lanes extend past the flyover into the heart of Greenwich making it impossible for emergency vehicles to get through (literally search the twitter feed of people showing this, it is one too many videos!). It was incredibly one-sided, the government should consult locals regarding major road changes. The entire cycle lane conveniently popped up during the Covid-19 pandemic (where there was fewer road users) such changes should have thought about the impact it would have when restrictions were lifted. Travel is a nightmare!
Remove the road to make it safe for both cars and pedestrians. Pedestrians are walking through the road because the roads are at a slow moving traffic. This is a problem for drivers and emergency vehicles having to watch the road more carefully. Cars are also having to make awkward turns and steer closer to the pavement because the roads are far too narrow. Drivers should not have to learn to "drive better" on poor road layouts, it can cause serious accidents.
