Grinnell College currently uses the Blackboard Learning Management System (LMS), which has been a source of frustration for many students and faculty due to its outdated interface and lack of user-friendly features. A more modern and efficient alternative is Canvas, an LMS that is already used by over 3,000 educational institutions worldwide (source: Instructure).

Canvas offers a clean, intuitive interface with integrated tools that enhance collaboration and communication between students and teachers. It also provides better accessibility options compared to Blackboard, making it more inclusive for all users (source: Educause Review).

By transitioning from Blackboard to Canvas, Grinnell College can provide a better learning environment for its community. This change will not only improve the quality of online education but also align the college with current trends in digital learning platforms.
