We’re calling on Fiverr to embrace its potential as a truly collaborative platform by completely rethinking its team collaboration tools. Our vision is a modern, project-centered workspace powered by enhanced organizational tools that support communication and creativity while also leveraging AI-assisted project management—not to replace creators, but to empower them.

The Problem
Fiverr positions itself as a hub for collaboration, but its current system lacks robust tools for teams working on larger, multi-participant projects. Here's the current situation:

1. Fragmented Communication: Creators and clients must rely on a scattered chat-based system where other team members and stakeholders cannot easily work together in real time.
2. Insufficient Collaboration Tools:  Comments on uploaded files are limited, disorganized, and buyers often don’t have visibility into the workflow.
3. Missed Opportunities: Fiverr’s heavy investment in AI-generated art and voice tools ignores the need for collaboration-oriented features in its professional community.

This limitation primarily affects users who work in complex, multi-disciplinary projects—graphic design collectives, musicians, software developers, or multi-team agencies—who want to truly collaborate on Fiverr without jumping to external tools.

Why It Matters to Me
This issue hits close to home for me because some of my closest collaborators and best friend work on Fiverr. I want to collaborate with teams of people rather than handling communication as fragmented individuals. If Fiverr adopted modern collaboration practices, we could see creative ecosystems thrive, no matter the size of the team.

Fiverr is—in its essence—a platform built on people helping people, not machines replacing people. I feel this focus is being eroded with Fiverr choosing AI-generated solutions to replace creators instead of creating systems that enhance their work. (Reference) AI should assist humans, not compete with or replace their unique contributions.

We propose adding Project Channels, a channel-centric, chat-first workspace for managing projects directly on Fiverr. Each Channel would serve as a central hub, intertwining tasks, chat, file sharing, revision management, and AI assistance into a single workflow.

• Individual Channels for each project, visible on a sidebar.  
• Real-time notifications with streamlined options for @mentions, thread replies, and pinned notes.

• Automatic thread-task linking so discussions lead to actual actions.

3. File & Asset Management

• A central Assets library for easy file versioning; compare and stack different versions of files like PSDs or videos.
• Supports searching and filtering by tags, uploader, or linked conversations.
• Annotated previews for images, videos, music, and documents so feedback is contextual.

4. AI for Assistance, Not Replacement

• AI-powered deadline estimation, organization and project assistance to support project managers.
• Automated reminders and notifications to reduce micromanagement while keeping teams on track.  
• NOT AI art, code or voice generators that replace human contributors.

5. Milestone Management with Payment Integration

• Built-in payment progress tracking tied to order agreements, with real-time status indicators.  

6. Review & Feedback Tools

• A ReviewHub specifically for contextual inline feedback on deliverables. 
• Annotated images, audio tracks or video clips; compare versions visually to make feedback precise and actionable. (Building on the already existing annotation system, allowing annotations to be viewable by anyone & to support more file formats.)
